ORIGINS

It all began in 2015 when Pierre VAUSSELIN, a chemical engineer and botanist, decided to create a range of natural aperitifs from rare plants and wildflowers, freshly picked and organically grown. To do so, he set his sights on the semi-mountainous expanses of Margeride en Gévaudan, of Gevaudan Beast fame, in the Massif Central, far from cities and factories, but with many intensively farmed areas.





THE CHAZETTE ESTATE,

AN EXCEPTIONAL ENVIRONMENT

The Chazette Estate covers 180 hectares, right in the heart of the Margeride region, 1300 metres above sea level. A spellbinding landscape, bathed in sunlight, where imposing blocks of granite eroded by time contemplate the thick forests punctuated by vast tracts of moors, grasslands and pastures. It is in this enchanting landscape that the botanical gardens are set, where more than 60 types of high-quality plants are grown, and are used to make Chazette aperitifs exclusive creations with inimitable flavours!
